Which warranty applies to your used or new car? At Auto Bonau in Bonau TG, we help you check the existing vehicle warranty, suitable CarGarantie upgrades and possible extensions. The specific vehicle and warranty agreement determine the options.
Warranty packages and upgrade prices
The following offers provide 12 months of cover when agreed at vehicle purchase. If ConvenientCare is expressly agreed for your vehicle, it is included in the purchase price. The upgrade prices shown assume ConvenientCare as the starting package. We will confirm which package is available for your vehicle.

Additional protection for electric vehicles
Depending on the vehicle and warranty agreement, certain electric drivetrain components may also be covered. The following examples do not guarantee cover for every vehicle or warranty package.
Drive
Electric motors, power electronics and inverter of the onboard system.
Charging & high voltage
Vehicle-integrated network charger, high-voltage wiring and control unit of the drive battery.
Comfort & cooling
Electric heater, air conditioning compressor, brake booster, battery cooling and voltage converter. This does not automatically include cover for the traction battery itself.
Important: According to the product information, the customer excess is at least CHF 150 per claim. Mileage-based contributions to parts costs and vehicle-specific reimbursement limits also apply. Your exact contribution is set out in your warranty agreement. Prices in CHF including stamp duty. Subsequent extensions are quoted separately. * ConvenientCare is included only if expressly agreed for your vehicle.

What warranty is included with my vehicle?
The specific vehicle listing and your purchase contract determine the warranty included. This may be a manufacturer’s warranty that is still valid or an expressly agreed CarGarantie warranty. ConvenientCare is not automatically included with every vehicle.
How much does a warranty upgrade cost at Auto Bonau?
For a vehicle with an agreed ConvenientCare warranty, the BestCare upgrade costs CHF 549 and the MaxiCare upgrade CHF 749 for the 12-month offer shown here at vehicle purchase. We will confirm availability for your vehicle. Subsequent extensions require a separate quote.
What age and mileage limits apply?
When the warranty is taken out, the vehicle must be no more than 12 years old with no more than 180,000 km for ConvenientCare, 12 years and 150,000 km for BestCare, or 8 years and 120,000 km for MaxiCare. Both limits must be met in each case. Further eligibility conditions apply. These limits for taking out a warranty do not guarantee eligibility for subsequent extensions.
Can I extend my car warranty?
Please enquire before your current warranty expires. We check the first registration date, mileage, existing warranty and applicable product terms. Your individual quote will confirm the duration, price and any limits.
Are maintenance and wear parts covered?
A repair warranty does not replace a maintenance or service contract. The full terms of your package specify which components, faults and costs are covered or excluded. Required maintenance and its documentation remain important.
Is the battery of an electric car covered by CarGarantie?
Coverage for the electric drivetrain, battery cooling or battery control unit does not automatically include the traction battery. Check your specific warranty agreement and any manufacturer’s battery warranty that still applies. A battery test records the battery’s condition and is not a warranty.
What do I do in the event of a possible warranty claim?
