Auto Bonau – Our story

Our story began in summer 2019 in Bonau TG – right on one of the busiest roads in the canton of Thurgau, between Frauenfeld, Winterthur and Zürich.

With the idea of creating a dealership that combines quality, transparency and fair prices, we laid the foundation for our company today.

Since 2024, Auto Bonau AG has been an independent company in Thurgau and is now one of the young, dynamic dealerships for used and new cars in Eastern Switzerland.

At the start of 2025, we completely redesigned our customer area. The modern lounge at Auto Bonau AG in Bonau, Canton Thurgau, now offers even more comfort – a place to relax, have personal conversations, or simply unwind with a coffee.

True moments of enjoyment come from Italian espresso made with a portafilter machine using authentic Neapolitan beans – perfectly paired with our popular Torroncini. Welcome to the new Auto Bonau atmosphere – where service, style, and comfort come together.

Bonau grows up

After about five years of growth and development, our location in Bonau TG officially becomes Auto Bonau AG. Since 2024, we have been operating as an independent corporation with a clear brand presence – an important milestone for our dealership and a strong sign of stability and trust in the Thurgau vehicle market.

In the middle of the Corona period, Auto Bonau AG took the next step: Our showroom in Bonau TG was completely modernized and has since presented itself in a new, bright design. This created a place that combines modern vehicle presentation with a welcoming atmosphere – typical Auto Bonau.

Already the following year, we were able to add the opposite area, which further expanded our presence and offer – a small Motor Village was created, making our range even more diverse.

In 2019, we laid the foundation for our later growth: Through the partnership with Garage Rao, a close collaboration was established that strengthened our presence in the Thurgau vehicle market and opened new opportunities in the Swiss car trade.

Collection and first successes

In summer 2019, we took over the Bonau TG location and from the start focused on online vehicle sales – then still a bold move in the Swiss car trade.

Soon after, the lot filled with vehicles, creating a lively, dynamic atmosphere – the first visible expression of what Auto Bonau AG stands for today: commitment, passion, and progress.
